For tourists visiting Switzerland, if a cog wheel railway ride is in the bucket list along with the Swiss Alps, then land in Zurich, the gateway to the Alps, and head for Mount Rig, which boasts of Europe's first cogwheel track. The train of Rigi will take you to the magnificent Alpine and snow world. Cogwheel is a steep grade railway with a toothed rack rail between the running rails. Overlooking lake Lucerne, the train chugs along the narrow tracks through meadows, mountain slopes, woods, tunnels and snow to the top- Rigi Kulm. Inaugurated in 1871, this is Europe's first mountain railway. On way back take a scenic boat cruise to Lucerne.

Keukenhof/Holland: World's best spring g...

Every spring, Keukenhof near Amsterdam draws millions to the world's  largest bulb flower garden. Some 7 million bulbs bloom, showcasing  800 varieties of tulips.   Here, you are dazzled by the sweeping view of flower fields. They look like carpets of geometric pastel colour blocks. Not to be missed inside the park is the spot of a signature Dutch windmill  from where you can enjoy a sweeping view of the tulip fields. Barcelona: The Gaudi Church

Popularly known as the Gaudi church, the Basílica de la Sagrada Família is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926). A UNESCO World Heritage Site now, the construction had begun in 1882 and possibly could end by 2030. It bears the mark of Gaudi's architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Soaring towers, mind blowing kaleidoscopic stained glass work and its intricate relief works make it a compelling visit if you are in Barcelona.
