Kolkata's popular restaurant Aminia lays out a special spread this Jamai Sashti Celebrating Jamai Sashti

Kolkata/NITN: Although the unique Bengali festival of Jamai Sashti (the day of the bridegroom) has its share of detractors in these modern times, there is no denying the that the traditional celebration is still observed with gusto in many households.

Many restaurants in Kolkata to offer special menus on this day so that families can happily dine together without the hassles of preparing a lavish spread at home.

Aminia, one of the oldest restaurant brands of Kolkata, known for their Mughlai and Awadhi dishes, has come up with a special menu consisting of Mughlai and north Indian dishes.

Mutton & Chicken Biryani, Aminia Special Mutton Curry, Aminia Special Mutton Rezala, Mutton Handi, Lahori Chicken, Chicken Malai Kebab, and Firni, are some of the popular highlights on the menu.

“Be it any occasion, we always have catered to our patrons with our signature Mughlai and Awadhi cuisines. And for Jamai Sashti, we would like to invite all the mothers-in-law to join in with their biryani lover jamais and daughters for a gastronomic experience”, said the chain's Sales Director, Azra Golam.
