ixigo, India’s leading AI-based travel platform, has introduced Airport Cabs, a new service that allows travellers to book reliable and cost-effective cabs to and from major airports across the country.
With a focus on on-time pick-ups and zero last-minute cancellations, the service aims to simplify airport transfers for millions of travellers.
Travellers can book their airport cab directly through the ixigo app or website by selecting the “Airport Cabs” option on the homepage, entering their origin, destination, pickup date and time, choosing a cab, applying any available coupon, and completing the payment.
First-time cab bookers on ixigo can avail a flat 50% off up to Rs 200, while returning users can enjoy a flat 20% off, up to Rs 100. Cabs can be scheduled up to 90 days in advance, with the service available Pan-India across all major airports.
Travellers can also choose from a range of cab types, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs/MPVs, luxury vehicles, and eco-friendly options such as electric and CNG cars. Airport entry charges, tolls, state taxes, and driver allowance are all included in the fare, with dynamic pricing based on the city, date, and time of travel.
Free cancellation is allowed up to 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, and the fares include 30 minutes of free waiting time. ixigo also offers a 24x7 SOS support feature to assist with breakdowns, accidents, or emergencies.
Speaking on the launch, Rajnish Kumar, Group Co-CEO, ixigo, said, "Reliable airport transfers are a natural extension to our flights business, since our users value convenience and predictability. With ixigo Airport Cabs, we have handpicked cab partners across 100+ cities in India to bring added convenience to the first and last mile of trips.
"From on-time pick-ups to flexible cab options, our focus is on removing friction at every step. This launch marks another step towards building a more dependable and hassle-free customer experience across all legs of the journey."
