Kolkata, July 23 : Arindam Ganguly, a popular Bengali actor, singer and lyricist, and director, added one more feather to his cap, that of an author, with the publication of 'Abhinaba Arindam' an anthology of short stories penned by him.
The book, published by Patra Bharati, was recently launched at Starmark (South City Mall outlet) in the presence of publisher Tridib Chatterjee and veteran actors Kheyali Dastidar, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Ganguly shot to fame with his lead role in the 1967 Bengali film Hansraj.
At the book launch, Ganguly said though his friend and publisher Tridib Chatterjee was urging him to publish the stories for quite some time but he was hesitant to do so.

It was the publication of three novels by his wife Kheyali Dastidar by Patra Bharati that really inspired him to bring out his anthology of short stories.
Dastidar spoke about the hard work and dedication Ganguly put in while penning the stories.
The book is available at all leading bookstores in the city.

Indian airline Air India has unveiled a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear for guests travelling on its international flights.
Emirates will introduce its Airbus A350 aircraft on its daily Dubai–Mauritius route from November 1, 2026, replacing the Boeing 777 currently operating the service. The new aircraft will operate flights EK709 and EK710 between Dubai and Mauritius, the airline said.
Lufthansa has launched a new nonstop service between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt, with the first flight operating on October 26. The route connects Malaysia’s capital with Frankfurt, one of Europe’s major aviation hubs.
