India’s Talent assessment platform HireMee born as a social enterprise, in the steel city of Salem in 2017, to discover diamonds from deep interiors of India and envisioned ‘India where no talent is unemployed or underemployed’, has earned the Global Impact Sourcing Award (GISA) from IAOP in recognition of its significant contributions to impact sourcing.
IAOP is the premier global organization dedicated to shaping the future of business.
The IAOP Global Impact Sourcing Award (GISA), created in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, recognizes HireMee for enabling equal access to opportunities for small town youth in India by connecting them with employers.
HireMee’s commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact within their communities was an important criterion for IAOP to pick HireMee.
“It is a privilege to be acknowledged with the Global Impact Sourcing Award by IAOP as HireMee enables equal access to job opportunities for talented youth from small towns by identifying talents and connecting them with companies, big and small, that value diversity and inclusivity,” said Venkatraman Umakanth, SVP and Head, HireMee.
HireMee provides artificial-intelligence (AI) proctored assessment covering 7 sections including core domain for students pursuing their diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The assessment scores of test takers are shared with companies that list on HireMee platform without any fee.
“HireMee’s profound dedication to impact sourcing has produced genuine, enduring benefits for both individuals and their communities, Their efforts are commendable, and we are thrilled to honour them with this award,” says Debi Hamill, CEO of IAOP.
Since its inception HireMee platform has worked closely with nearly 7000 colleges accredited by AICTE; National Career Service of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment; Tamil Nadu government’s upskilling program Naan Mudhalvan and Karnataka government’s Digital Economy Mission and over 2000 companies, among others.
HireMee platform has helped more than 700,000 students get themselves assessed at no-cost with over 270,000 students getting the opportunity to be interviewed by various companies. Of these, nearly 60 per cent of the job opportunities came to students from Tier-3 and Tier-4 towns and nearly half of these opportunities were for women candidates.
Today more than 4000 companies get access to a wider pool of pre-assessed talent from across India readily and at no cost.
The ‘Made in India’ HireMee emerged among the 5 finalists in the prestigious $5 million XPRIZE Rapid Reskilling competition in the USA in 2022 becoming the only non-American entry to make it to this list.
HireMee assessment platform is widely used by several corporates across India, Middle-East and the USA for talent acquisition & management and academic institutions and has delivered more than 3 million assessments. HireMee offers assessments of all types – psychometric, cognitive, MCQ, subjective, typing, etc. tailored to the job description.
HireMee demonstrates its dedication to impact sourcing through skills-first approach and its strategic collaborations with local community organizations, facilitating the identification and training of job candidates from underserved populations.
