Rotary Club organises 12th edition of Swayam Siddha

Kolkata, Mar 23 (NITN): Rotary Club of Calcutta organized the 12th edition of Swayam Siddha at the Satyajit Ray Auditorium, ICCR on Wednesday.

The genesis of the day can be traced back to then Russian capital Petrograd now known as St Petersburg when on March 8, when women protested on the streets of Moscow for the end of food shortages and Czarism.

The recipients of the 12th edition included   social activist Kanta Chakraborty, Entrepreneur Sharmeela Chatterjee, mining industry entrepreneur Nandini Chakravorty, creative designer and visual artist Ekta Bhattacharjee, voice artist and elocutionist Madhumanti Maitra and performing artist and choreographer Tanusree Shankar.
