Centre to develop tourism around historical heritage associated with Rani Laxmibai: Mahesh Sharma
New Delhi,July 16 (NITN): Union Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge), Culture (Independent Charge) and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma held a meeting with Minister of Women & Child Development of Madhya Pradesh Maya Singh in New Delhi on Thursday.

Highlighting the potential of tourism in the historical city of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Maya Singh said that the state government wishes to develop tourism in Gwalior by setting up an historical Museum of Rani Laxmibai which along with the Statue of the great freedom fighter can become a tourist attraction. 
 
Maya Singh demanded that Centre should help the state to promote tourism prospects with the help ofhistorical heritage associated with thestatue of the great freedom fighter. 
 
She also requested the Centre to develop a convention centre in the name of Rani Laxmibai. 
 
Mahesh Sharma assured Smt Maya Singh that the Centre will explore all possibilities to meet the demands of the state.
