London, June 19 (NITN) Since it was first published in 1865, the story of Alice in Wonderland has captivated audiences across the globe and remains a classic tale that still enchants audiences today.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Lewis Carrol classic, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Athenaeum Hotel & Apartments invites guests to join them on a delicious trip into the adventurous and wonderful land of rabbit holes and Cheshire cats with a special version of the Mad Hatters Tea Party.
Home to the London’s ‘Best Afternoon Tea’, The Athenaeum offers guests a delicious choice of sweet and savory treats with a twist, including White Chocolate Clock Cakes, freshly baked Mushroom Meringue and dainty Cupcakes with Frosted Flowers.
In honor of this classically British fairytale, the Mad Hatter’s Tea is accompanied with the ripest English Strawberries with Cream, Assorted Smartie Scones and a selection of Chef’s finest sandwiches.
Served in the lush and floral Garden Room, this mouth-watering offering will transport guests into their very own curious wonderland where they will be joined by favourite characters from the book including the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, the Joker and the King who all feature on the stylish placemats accompanying tea.
To allow for full immersion into Alice’s world, a choice of Top Hats, fascinators and head dresses will be available for guests to get ready for an afternoon with the Mad Hatter himself.
Running throughout the year, The Mad Hatter’s Tea is available for £39.50 (approximately $61.00) or £47.50 (approximately $74.00) with a glass of champagne per person, with daily sittings at 12.30pm, 3:00 pm and 5.30pm.
