In a major boost for frequent flyers, Air India has expanded its Maharaja Club loyalty programme to allow members to earn and redeem Maharaja Points on Air India Express flights across more than 55 destinations in South, Southeast and West Asia.
The move marks a significant integration within the Air India Group and aims to make Maharaja Points more valuable and flexible for travellers flying across both airlines.
Points Can Now Be Earned On Air India Express Flights
Maharaja Club members can immediately begin earning Maharaja Points and Tier Points on Air India Express-operated flights booked through Air India and Air India Express websites and apps, as well as major travel agents.
Flights on Air India Express will also count toward tier progression, helping members move faster toward higher loyalty tiers.
“We are continually expanding Maharaja Club to ensure our loyal customers derive greater value across the Air India group network,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India and Chairman of Air India Express.
How The New Points Structure Works
Members can earn Maharaja Points by entering their Maharaja Club ID while booking Air India Express tickets. Retrospective claims are currently not allowed.
Reward points will be calculated on base fare and fuel surcharge. The earning structure per Rs 100 spent is:

The programme also applies to special fares for students, senior citizens and armed forces personnel.
