Chocko Valliappa
Bengaluru: Chocko Valliappa, founder and CEO of IT services firm Vee technologies, has been nominated as a member of the Syndicate of Anna University, India’s foremost technical University.
While accepting this position as a member of the Syndicate of Anna University, Valliappa said, “I am humbled by this responsibility. I hope to add value by bringing in fresh perspectives based on my experience in the industry as we deliver technology solutions to global customers.”
Valliappa has worked closely with educational institutions to develop many innovative research projects including patented technologies to blind people navigate, sorting urban waste and improving security.
Vee Technologies’ major development centres from Chennai, Salem and Trichy in Tamil Nadu service its major healthcare customers in the USA. The company’s e-governance practice plays a key role in building India's digital stack. Its Architecture, Engineering and Construction practice offers MEP services.
An active CII and Nasscom member, Chocko serves on the Entrepreneurs Organization and Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He earned the YPO Global Social Impact award in 2018. To access Chocko's rich and varied experience in policy, corporate citizenry, and technology, he is invited to speak and write on technology.
Chocko is passionate about empowering the community through the Valliappa Foundation. Its recent activities include skilling women at the Women Technology Park, Salem and Sona FM community radio. Chocko co-founded Valliappa Software Technology Park in Bangalore in 1995 that became home to tech MNCs Cisco, Oracle and Verifone.
