Bengaluru: New York and Bengaluru Co-headquartered Tech and IT Services firm MD Chocko Valliappa has been inducted into IAOP Leadership Hall of Fame.
He has now joined the ranks of six Indian IT industry veterans -- NR Narayana Murthy, Nandan Nilekani, Dewang Mehta, Raman Roy and Tiger Thyagrajan—who have made to this list since 2008.
The induction by IAOP, the global organization dedicated to shaping the future of business, recognizes Chocko Valliappa’s contribution in shaping the future of the outsourcing industry and setting the highest standard of quality, according to Debi Hamill, CEO of IAOP.
The award was presented to Chocko Valliappa, a fourth-generation entrepreneur, by Mark Voytek, Chief Advisor at IAOP at the IAOP convention OWS24 on May 21 in Chicago, USA following a global nomination and selection process by the Hall of Fame Induction Review Committee comprising distinguished inductees.
“The IOAP Leadership hall of fame has humbled me as its puts me in the league of some stalwarts in the Outsourcing industry and reflects the hard work and dedication that 15,000 strong and committed professionals at the Sona Group, Vee Technologies and Vee HealthTek,” said Chocko Valliappa, founder and MD at Vee Technologies.
“This honour spurs me to inspire the next generation of leaders, academics and young learners engaged with the Sona Group to innovate and solve mega challenges by providing equal opportunities at work, classrooms, research labs and in the community,” adds Valliappa who also serves as Vice Chairman, Sona College of Technology, Salem, whose research teams supply stepper motors for ISRO’s space missions.

HireMee presented the Impact Sourcing Award
India’s Talent assessment platform HireMee founded in 2017 to discover diamonds from deep interiors of India was presented the Global Impact Sourcing Award (GISA) by IAOP, in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, in recognition of its significant contributions to impact sourcing.
HireMee’s commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact within their communities was an important criterion for IAOP to pick HireMee.
HireMee has worked closely with nearly 7000 colleges accredited by AICTE; National Career Service of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment; Tamil Nadu government’s upskilling program Naan Mudhalvan and Karnataka government’s Digital Economy Mission and over 2000 companies, among others.
