 'Ami Bhalobashi Bangla Ke' concert enthrals music lovers in Kolkata

Kolkata's Science City Auditorium recently witnessed a musical celebration, 'Ami Bhalobashi Bangla Ke: Nabo Borsher Maha Jalsha', marking 25 years of Aurko and 15 years of Alive India.

Alive India claims it is the country's first artist-driven music production house.

The event launched Alive India’s Bengal Chapter with a multi-city concert series, uniting musicians from Bengal, Bengaluru, Bollywood, and beyond.

Artists from various genres like folk, film, non-film, Jeebon Mukhi, Band Music, and Bengalis in Bollywood, united for the event that also celebrated the Bengali New Year.

Highlights included performances by icons like Nachiketa Chakraborty, Kharaj Mukherjee, Kishore Sodha, Upal Sengupta & Anindya Chatterjee (Chandrabindu), Durnibar Saha, Tirtha Bhattacharjee, Raju Das Baul, and surprise guest Raghab Chatterjee.

The concert doubled as the flagship fundraiser for the Alive India Music Foundation under the #SingToSave movement, supporting financially challenged musicians across India.

The night paid tribute to legends like Salil Chowdhury, Gauri Prasanna Majumdar, and celebrated 50 years of Mohiner Ghoraguli, closing with a powerful chorus of “Ami Bhalobashi Bangla Ke”—a musical love letter to Bengal.
