Orange Corp itself is an MNC and is focusing strongly on the Indian film market to produce and co-produce films in Hindi & English.
The company diversified into film production, and with time, it has only strengthened its hold as a production house with global content.
This tie-up of Orange Corp with one of the most renowned Hollywood film production companies is being seen with great interest as such bonding will be rewarding to the global film market. Hollywood film industry accounts for annual business of around USD 29 Billion while India stands second with USD 10 Billion. Hollywood has opened numerous prospects to say the least.
This will automatically open doors for the exchange of creative and technical expertise while working on some of the most promising projects under the joint initiative and would lead to a business potential estimated to be around USD 235 Million.
What is interesting is that, unlike other foreign production companies, who simply open another branch in India without prior knowledge of the country’s film market, California Pictures has chosen to partner an existing Indian production company in order to gain on its expertise and already existing vast market knowledge. The reader should be reminded at this stage that Orange Corp is also a global business and finance advisory provider with pan India presence having thorough knowledge of the Indian film industry and has already revealed its plans to make content driven movies. The joint initiative will lead to a Hollywood-Bollywood collaboration currently unheard of in the industry.
Salient Features :
1. Orange Corp will represent California Pictures in India
2. Co-production of movies in Hindi & English by the Companies
3. California Pictures will release & distribute Orange Corp produced and presented Indian movies globally. Even Indian film makers will be able to release & distribute their films globally through Orange Corp.
4. Indian actors, creative & technical personnel will be able to work in global projects.
Steven Istock – President for California Pictures stated that he is very much exited to work with Orange Corp and is looking forward to a great collaborative long term relationship between the Companies.
Debasish Dutta – Director for Orange Corp stated that the expertise of California Pictures will help Indian movies to reach global audience and welcomed Mr. Steven’s statement on the long term relationship between the Companies.
In another statement, Dutta has urged the young generation to discourage piracy in any form so that the film industry continues to deliver films and can sustain in its efforts. He further added that the young generation is matured enough to understand the ill effects of piracy and should raise their voice to stop the same so that business can be encouraged and good films can continue to be produced.
