A New York-based influencer has praised the cleanliness of Kochi in her latest Instagram post, challenging long-held stereotypes about hygiene in India.

Content creator Chloe Jade shared a video documenting her experience in the South Indian city, opening with the bold statement: “India is NOT dirty.”

In the caption, she reflected on common perceptions, writing, “I am travelling in Kerala right now, and often the first thing people say is ‘India is dirty.’”

Recalling her previous visit nearly eight years ago, she added that while some parts of the country may struggle with cleanliness, it is unfair to generalise. “You cannot say that about the whole country,” she emphasised.

Highlighting the diversity of experiences across India, Chloe encouraged travellers to look beyond media portrayals.

“Travelling in India means experiencing many different things because the country is vast,” she said, describing it as a true paradise for explorers.

Her video showcased well-maintained sidewalks, clean restaurants, and efficient public transport in Kochi—offering a refreshing perspective that counters outdated narratives.
