Commenting on the award, Dilip Parulekar, Tourism Minister of Goa said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive the ‘Best Value Destination’ award by Lonely Planet magazine. It holds special significance since it has been voted by readers of Lonely Planet who are in themselves mature, world travelers.
"Goa has much to offer – from culture, to heritage, local cuisine and adventure – and this award re-affirms our determination to provide our visitors with the best value proposition without compromising on quality. Goa Tourism will continue to exceed all expectations and win many more awards in future.”
