New Delhi/NITN: India on Friday recorded the second death after a 69-year-old woman has died of Coronavirus, declared as 'pandemic' by the World Health Organisation (WHO), in Delhi.
The woman was the sixth case of coronavirus to be reported from the national capital.
She was suffering from other health conditions including high blood pressure and diabetes.
According to reports, she had visited her son in Switzerland during Feb 5-22.
Right now, there are a total of 84 cases of Coronavirus reported in India.
“Till now, there are 81 confirmed cases in India, out of which 64 are Indians, 16 Italians and 1 Canadian national," Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Health Ministry said while addressing a press conference.
The government said out of the infected people 64 are Indian citizens, 16 Italians and 1 Canadian national.
India recorded its first death from the virus on Thursday. The deceased was a 76-year old man from Karnataka.
