New Delhi/NITN: Kedarnath, in the Garhwal Himalayas, is set to receive a facelift with several development projects earmarked for this popular pilgrimage centre of Uttarakhand.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on November 5, laid foundation stones and dedicated to the nation these projects in Kedarnath, which include shelters and facilitation centres among other things.
He unveiled the statue of Shri Adi Shankaracharya, the Indian philosopher and theologian whose works had a strong impact on the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.
No words are enough to do justice to the monumental contribution of the great Adi Shankaracharya towards preserving our culture. In Kedarnath today, I had the honour of dedicating to the nation the Shri Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. pic.twitter.com/niV2Gg2Hd9
