PM Modi flags off the Mahamana Express train from Varanasi
Varanasi, Jan 22 (JEN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Varanasi on Friday, flagged off the Mahamana Express and complimented the Railways for the launch of the superfast train with modern passenger amenities.

The train, which has been named after Banaras Hindu University founder, Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya, will run between Varanasi and Delhi via Lucknow,  thrice a week.
 
It will depart from New Delhi at 6.35 pm every MondayWednesday and Friday from Jan 25and will reach Varanasi at 8.25 am the next day.
 
From Varanasi, the trains will leave at 6.35 pm every TuesdayThursday and Saturday fromJan 26 to reach New Delhi at 8.25 am the next day.
 
The Mahamana Express is fully equipped with modern facilities,including renovated and refurbished AC-coaches fitted with LED screen, dustbins and bio toilets in every coach, etc.
 
Passengers have to pay an enhanced fare (15%) for this train.
