Brand Ginger launches hotel in Chandigarh

Kolkata / Chandigarh, Jan 31 (NITN): Ginger Hotels, from Roots Corporation - a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), on Friday announced the launch of its first hotel at Chandigarh in Punjab.
Ginger Chandigarh was inaugurated by Ashish Gupta of Hind Inns and Hotels Ltd in the presence of P.K Mohankumar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Roots Corporation Limited.
Roots Corporation Ltd. has entered into an agreement for managing the 102-room hotel owned by Hind Inns and Hotels Ltd.

The launch of this property will mark Hind Inns and Hotels Ltd foray in to the hospitality sector. The hotel which will cater to the industrial and commercial sectors is based on the concept of 'Smart Basics' that exemplifies smart and chic services, officials said.
Speaking on the occasion, P.K Mohankumar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Roots Corporation Limited said, “We are very happy to launch our first hotel in Punjab in the progressive city of Chandigarh that is known for its enterprise and endeavour. The city is equipped with highly capable human capital, first-rate infrastructure and access to large domestic and international markets. Designed exclusively to cater to the value-driven traveller we hope to bring a fresh flavour to the city’s hospitality landscape with the launch of Ginger Chandigarh.”

The hotel is accessible from the airport and railway station as well as major business hubs in the city.
Equipped with features like a Smart space, Safe zone, self-check-in kiosk, gymnasium, the hotel claims to ensure guests a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The 'Ginger' rooms are equipped with technologically advanced locking system ensuring safety and privacy. All rooms are furnished with amenities such as a mini-fridge, LCD TV, self-controlled air-conditioner, tea and coffee maker, and a telephone. Ginger also offers complimentary Wi-Fi service to all resident guests helping the modern business traveller to stay connected.
