In the mid 1980's legendary music maestro Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar formulated a unique and first time ever trio of his three leading disciples namely, Padma Bhushan Pdt Viswamohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena – modified Hawaiian slide guitar), Pdt Tarun Bhattacharya (Santoor) and Pdt Dayashankar (Shehnai) and named it the “The Golden Trio”.
Soon the Golden Trio took the world by storm, and they toured all over the world to perform at the most prestigious venues like Royal Albert Hall – London at George Harrisons Private Theater – Henly on Thames, Jubilee Auditorium – Canada, Theater De La Vel – Paris, all over USA, Canada, Europe UK and enthralled the audience with standing ovation.
The Trio also got attached with Pandit Ravi Shankar’s ensemble and performed with him at India inside the Kremlin in Japan, America Center USA, Uday Utsav Delhi, etc. In most of the concerts, they were accompanied by then young Bickram Ghosh on Tabla.
Instantly, all these musicians became famous and The Golden Trio became famous.
Three decades later, Grammy Winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Pre Grammy nominated Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, Pandit Daya Shankar and Pandit Bickram Ghosh came together, for a tribute to their guru on on Aug 11, 2013.

Air New Zealand has announced plans to host a live inflight concert, ‘SYNTHONY in the Sky’, on Dec 4 aboard Flight NZ1331 from Auckland to Sydney.
Qatar Airways will move its New York operations to The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in 2026. As part of the relocation, the airline plans to open a 15,000-square-foot lounge, its first dedicated facility in both New York City and the United States.
