Mumbai, May 27 (NITN): In an attempt to provide its members with diverse and memorable vacation experiences, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. is offering its new members a chance to visit the exciting Angry Birds Activity Park at its Holiday Club Resort in Finland.
In fact, the company has planned an Angry Birds bonanza this summer, through a special tie-up with the much awaited The Angry Birds Movie hitting screens across India.
New Members who purchase a Club Mahindra membership between 21st May’16 and 31st May’16, stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid family trip to the Angry Birds Activity Park located at its Holiday Club Resort in Finland.
The existing 1,99,000 members holidaying at Club Mahindra resorts can also participate in this contest by taking a selfie with the special Angry Birds cut outs placed at the resorts across India.
Photos that get the maximum ‘Likes’ on social media stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip as well. Runners up will get a chance to meet the original Angry Birds mascots in their homes.
Besides this, the company will also run contests on social media platforms with Angry Birds merchandise. Tickets for upcoming The Angry Birds Movie are also up for grabs.
Interestingly, the Angry Birds game was created by a Finnish game developer.
“Our association with the Angry Birds franchise is aligned with our philosophy of offering our members unique and memorable experiences. This contest is a great way for families to experience the Angry Birds Activity Parks at our Holiday Club Resorts in Finland. These Angry Birds Activity Parks have lots of exciting activities for children. We are uniquely positioned to bring this opportunity to our members by virtue of our acquisition of Holiday Club Resorts, Finland, in September 2015. Angry Birds has a large fan following in India and we are sure we will receive an enthusiastic response to the contest,” said Kavinder Singh, MD & CEO, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd.
MHRIL owns a majority stake in Holiday Club Resorts, Finland, a leading vacation ownership company in Europe with 31 resorts across Finland, Sweden and Spain.
Club Mahindra members can now holiday at 31 scenic Holiday Club resorts across Europe – twenty-three in Finland, two in Sweden and six in Spain. Of these, four Holiday Club Resorts in Finland - Saimaa, Katinkulta, Kuusamon Tropiikki or Saariselkä – have large scale Angry Bird Activity Parks within the resort premises.
The park at Saariselkä is also the northernmost Angry Birds Activity Park in the world. In addition to the parks, these resorts also offer a variety of activities, including sports and nature safaris.
With stunning natural beauty, the Midnight Sun and Northern Lights phenomenon and adventure activities for every season, Finland is ideal as a year round destination. Vacationers can indulge in a variety of activities, including kayaking, archery, hiking, canoeing, boat trips, cross-country skiing and a lot more.
