Starmark organizes story telling session by noted author Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay

Kolkata, Nov 28: He is writing more ghost stories for children to get them into the fold of reading Bengali books, said eminent author Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay at a literary evening organised at Kolkata's Starmark bookstore.

The exclusive story telling session by Mukhopadhyay was largely aimed at finding ways to inculcate the habit of reading Bengali books among children, said the organizers.

According to the noted author, children are keen to watch television or play video games.

He also said that  some children are unable to pay attention to Bengali literature due to schooling.

“That is why I write more stories on ghosts to ensure children are attracted to Bengali books,” he said.
