Dhaka/NITN: A Bangladeshi doctor, who is working at Kurmitola General Hospital, has tested positive for COVID-19, media reports said.
The medical facility is dedicated to treating coronavirus patients in the country.
He is the first person to be infected by the disease in the hospital.
"The doctor showed Covid-19 like symptoms a couple of days ago. Samples were collectedfor test, and the report was released yesterday confirming that he was Covid-19 positive," Dr Nirupam Das, chief administrator of Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) told The Daily Star.
He is currently undergoing treatment in his home.
