Dudhwa NP Reopens
Lucknow/NITN: Dudhwa National Park in Uttar Pradesh is set to reopen from November 15 this year, except for one range which is still swampy following the monsoons, according to media reports.
The popular forest, known for its tigers, rhinos and other animals, was earlier scheduled to open on November 1.
But the opening had to be postponed owing to water-logging inside following the heavy monsoon showers.
However, the forest department has decided not to allow tourists inside the Sunaripur range of Dudhwas since that area is still inundated, and the forest department's elephants will find it difficult to go into the area, reports said.
Travellers have to carry proof that they have been fully vaccinated.
Those vaccinated with a single dose or have not been vaccinated yet have to carry COVID-19 negative test results (RTPCR) not older than 72 hours.
