On a day he met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and interacted with the students of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Cameron also tweeted that he ate some Kolkata street food- hot and spicy.
He also posted a picture on his Twitter page.
"Loved the hot, spicy lentil cakes in a Calcutta market after a busy day of meetings," tweeted Cameron who also strolled in Howrah Bridge, another icon of the city.
David Cameron is the youngest prime minister of Britain in nearly 200 years and when he took office in 2010 after his Conservative Party won, it ended a 13-year-long Labour rule.
